I recently got my hands on some new releases from NARS and I have been loving them. NARS Fall 2015 is life for this neutral-loving girl. It probably comes as no surprise to my regular readers but I am a huge fan of taupes and champagne shades, big lashes and nude lips so the makeup I have to show you today is truly making my heart sing.
I am going to start with the NARS Velvet Shadow Sticks. I have the shades Oaxaca, Hollywoodland and Goddess.
Oaxaca is described as a quartz, but in my experience everything that has ever been described as quartz is actually a really flattering taupe. This is no different. This is one of those cream shadows that makes a PERFECT base for a sexy smoky eye. This one is on the far right of the swatches.
Hollywoodland is described as a pale gold and I think that description is dead on. I really love the way they named it because I usually do think about twinkling gold lights and such when I think of Hollywood. The name to me is just as perfect as the shade. I can see myself wearing this all year round because, gold.
Goddess is actually my favorite of the three Velvet Shadow Sticks I have. It is a pink champagne and has become my favorite to sheer out over my lids and just look fabulous and leave people wondering why. Don’t we always want those sort of products? The ones that are just effortlessly beautiful.
The next big release of the season is the NARS Audacious Mascara. Before now I have never tried a mascara from NARS so when I heard they were releasing a new mascara I was all over that. Seriously though… NARS rocks my world on all levels so how had I not tried a mascara? Come to think of it, I don’t even know that they offered one. Hmm…
Intensity for the making. Control for the taking. From instant definition to blindsiding impact, every layer multiplies. Amplifies. Mesmerizes.
Designed with over 200 molded bristles and lengthening hooks, NARS’ lash-catching brush evenly grips and coats lashes from roots to tips. Simultaneously separates, lengthens, and amplifies. Its tapered tip finishes off the inner and outer reaches of your imagination, while enhancing lower lashes.
An extraordinary balance of suppleness with staying power, this uniquely fluid first-to-market formula offers extreme buildability. Lightweight. Long-wearing.
I am a huge fan of this brush. I typically don’t like rubbery bristles but these ones are slightly curved and mimic the shape of a traditional bristle, only this one really does a great job at depositing product while also separating. The combination leaves me with great length and beautifully fanned out lashes.
NARS Lip Gloss in Chelsea Girls is a pink beige that is basically a MLBB (my lips but better) shade. It is a milky creamy formula and I absolutely love it. It is perfect for layering over a lip pencil or just dabbing in the center of the lips for a pretty and pouty look.
Overall I think that NARS Fall 2015 hit it out of the park. I am obsessed with every single thing I am mentioning here and I think that everyone needs the mascara, this gloss and at least one of these Velvet Shadow Sticks. You can get this collection at NarsCosmetics.com, Beauty.com, and Nordstrom!
